Gaming News: TMNT Rumours put to rest.

Batman Developers not working on new TMNT Game?

There have been rumours floating around that British developer Rocksteady Studios, best known for the recent Batman Arkham games, were developing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.

However the head of Rocksteady Studios, Sefton Hill told Kotaku offices that this rumour was unfortunately fake and they're not developing a game under the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license. This comes as a disappointment to TMNT fans given that there hasn't been a noteworthy game under the TMNT license in over a decade.

Rocksteady Studios could have potentially revamped the series just as they did with the Batman series. With the amazing job they did with the Batman Arkham series, which are noted as two of the best video games based on a comic licence seen for this generation of consoles. Both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City  won multiple game of the year awards. The possibilities were endless. Looks like fans will just have to suffice with all the B grade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle video games until the license owners get a highly talented developer to work on the licence. In the mean time gamers can just dust off their NES or SNES and play the good old classic TMNT games or better yet just download the arcade original off XBLA or PSN/SEN or the Turtles in Time remake.

its a shame really, TMNT could have made a great game, but honestly its a good choice from the dev, TMNT's fanbase has gone downhill in recent times, wouldnt have been too profitable

Looks like Activision are making it instead. This is still a rumor though. Nothing had been confirmed.
